Description

Li Shan or "Pear Mountain" is located in northwestern Taiwan, in Taichung County, right next to Nantou. Pear orchards grew here for a long time until one of the local tea producers planted tea bushes. The brewed tea from the first harvest had a pear flavor and aroma. Li Shan Oolong is grown at a record altitude for Taiwan - from 1800 to 2650 m. High-ranking foreigners visiting Taiwan often receive a jar of oolong from Pear Mountain as a gift.

Medium-sized spherically twisted oolong, a small stalk is visible. All shades of green are included in the color range of this tea. When warmed with breath, the aroma of spring greenery, frosty freshness and sweetness of mountain flowers. In a warmed teapot, the sweet aroma of a blooming pear garden with a sour citrus. And after the first infusion, ripe pears and sorrel predominate in the aroma. Water 87 ° and the tea must either be rinsed or the first infusion must be steeped longer, since the twist is quite dense and will not open up right away. The infusion is light green, clean, oily. The taste is illuminating, subtle and light. The sweetness of saffron, hops, apricot, jasmine, pear, lilac, bamboo, freshly cut grass, spinach and green grapes. Sour shades of taste are expressed by green apple, basil, lime, lily and orchid. The aftertaste is persistent, captivating with the fresh sweetness of the collaboration of flowers, herbs and fruits with exquisite sourness and saltiness of metal. In the tea day there are beautiful flushes with green and elastic leaves without damage. The state of fullness, calm balance and joyful awe. Tea relaxes the body and replenishes the supply of internal resources. Everything becomes simple and clear. Here you close your eyes and feel the fresh wind bringing a sweet aroma from the blooming pear orchards on the slope of a majestic mountain...
